She never does anything to with the intention to harm other people. There are questionable things she does, but her intentions are never truly bad, especially not when regarded contextually - both in terms of her emotional state and the state of things in her life.

It's obvious to me that she is a very caring and good person at heart, and this does come out more and more around Max. She helps, comforts, cares for, encourages and is there for Max, drives her out of her shell, apologizes for times she went too far, is self-reflective and self-deprecative at various points, admits she cares about people and Arcadia. She truly loves, and she does not harm anyone. In the end even suggests she is willing to sacrifice herself out of love for Max just so the latter does not have the burden of feelings of guilt.

When I think of bad people, something very different springs into my mind. She's had a lot of shit happen in her young life, and if anything, it actually is surprising how well she is doing considering, how in-tact her precious core is that it comes right to the surface again with Max.
