Christmas In July: A Deck Showcase Thread

The deck I always come back to is UW control, here is my current list

I like to use japanese non-foil original printings and the Japanese APAC lands for my legacy decks. I still need a third japanese APAC plains, otherwise the deck is complete. Exceptions can be made for art , for example : using the Masques brainstorms.

A friend of mine did the Fairy Tail alters, I love them so much : they are very well done and the characters fit Jace/Elspeth (at least in my mind). Happy as a germ who is up to no good is great. Apparently I sometimes give away if I draw a Jace/Eslpeth because I am smiling, totally worth giving away info though.

Some notes :

  • I did a couple of long walks through Japan, I accidentally stumbled upon the place that is pictured in the Apac Island, I love the connection I can make with a big journey and my favorite deck. Here is my picture, bonus crow The short story of the place is that the rocks represent a couple in love that can not be together due to life/circumstance .
  • The switch from OG FoW to the newer version was not only to get the Japanese version, I actually prefer the art new version. The OG one is epic/iconic though, so it was a though call.
  • I spend a day scouring cardshops in Osaka to find the new FoWs , it took some time but in the end I found exactly four after visiting all cardshops in the area, felt like a treasure hunt.
  • The JPN Swords to Plowshares were also difficult to track down , took me a couple of months of ebay searching. It really had to be this version because I love the Foglio art .
  • I am not sure which Disenchant has the best art, but it fits so nicely with the Brainstorms and the Counterspell. I love the Masques art style.
