I Bet it Stung

I hate it. The whole fight situation is terrible, but in this context Cristina could’ve just said you’re not prepared enough to do the surgery (IIRC this particular exchange of words happened amidst Mere wanting to participate on Cristina’s surgery). For a show that often wants to portray a feminist utopia, it is really shitty about showing characters making people feel bad for prioritizing family and interpersonal relationships & promoting some faux #girlboss garbage that actually is super patriarchal (work above all else!). I’m not saying one thing is better than the other, but I wish that there was more celebration of family AND deeper exploration of what it means to “have it all” (this storyline actually could’ve prompted this).
