Do federal employees usually get leave early for holidays ? Or depends on agency

I’m just going to throw in my two cents, federal government has many agencies, many. Within these agencies, there are dozens, if not hundreds of departments.

Let’s say you work for secret service as an agent or uniformed officer….. your lifestyle is not going to be the same as an accountant for the IRS. Better yet, let’s say you can your friend work for the federal prison system… one is an officer, the other is a HR rep…. the HR rep may leave a little early but the officer may have to stay and work an additional 8 hours…. so the difference between leaving 30 minutes EARLY Vs leaving 9 hours AFTER you shift finished is massive. Point is, it depends on your department, your job, your boss/immediate supervisor. Questions like this make no sense to me.
