Evenicle 2, previously banned on Steam, comes to GOG on July 7

The difference is minors are protected in almost every video game. Every wonder why there aren't kids in Grand Theft Auto? Why can't you kill kids in Skyrim? One can make a case of hypocrisy, but at the end of the day the fact remains that it is socially acceptable to harm adult video game characters, but children are off limits. For the record I belive children should be off limits.

This thread is very polarized, but I'm on the side that this game is wrong. Regardless of legality, I think it is gross and morally wrong to pretend that this game isn't any different to other games where you kill/harm people. Sex crimes in games are rare because it is,

a) more emotionally disturbing for the average player, let alone someone who has experienced actual assault and the potential for PTSD. b) is usually subject to severe cristism that damages the reputation of the game/publisher/developer c) socially unacceptable in many different countries especially in EU and Australia. d) often fails to add anything significant into the writing and often serves as a "shock" factor.

Also please do not bring sexual orientation/preference into a discussion where the main topic is pedophile in nature. Just because you are sexually attracted to someone doesn't give you a free pass to break laws. If you are attracted to cows, it doesn't mean you can have sex with animals. That is illegal. Same rules apply to minors. The LBTQ+ has publicly denounced pedophilia as a part of the community. You shouldn't try to make a connection that isn't there.
