Backstory:
When the pirates came for us, we let them come. We let them come deep into the forest, where our quarrels cut them down. When the slavers came for us, we let them come, and once again, the forest claimed their bodies. When the droids came for us, their legions stretched to the horizon, and we didn't have enough quarrels for all of them.
Ashta Arecen was born upon a Republic cruiser to two Senators. Unfortunately, the ship suffered a malfunction, and baby Ashta was loaded into an empty escape pod in the confusion. The pod landed on Kashyyyk. Baby Ashta was picked up by a group of Wookiees, who, after some deliberation, elected to raise her. Despite her smaller size, she was essentially raised as a Wookiee, even making her own (human-sized) bowcaster.
As times got rougher, Ashta became one of the tribe's best marksmen, and was often called upon to help defend their home against pirates, Trandoshan slavers, and anyone else who came to attack. Unfortunately, during the Battle of Kashyyyk, her adoptive family was killed and Ashta was taken captive.
Ashta managed to escape captivity and fled to Tatooine for a few years. Inspired by the glory and power of the Empire, she signed up for the Imperial academy. And now, an Imperial shuttle approaches the Evictus, carrying supplies, a few troops, and a surprise for Lieutenant Veles...

Appearance: Ashta stands 5'11" with an athletic figure, hard and muscled from her years on Kashyyyk. She has long brown hair and brown eyes. She has a large scar on her right cheek, and numerous scars on her body, including what seem to be lash marks on her back. Ashta typically wears standard scout-trooper kit or officer's uniform. She wears a necklace with a small wooden pendant bearing the symbol of her village and a few beads, which she ties around the stock of her rifle when in battle.
Equipment: Ashta carries a standard E-11s assigned to her, or other weapons necessary for the mission. She also has a Westar-34 pistol, taken from the body of a slaver, as a sidearm. She still owns her human-sized bowcaster, although she rarely uses it outside of the firing range since it's not regulation.
