Setting aside the legal implications here—which should of course imvolve the presumption of innocence and due process—at what point does someone lose the benefit of the doubt in the court of public opinion?

Ja has had ample opportunity to clearly denounce and distance himself from this perception, but has instead seemed to lean into it. When something like this comes out, it makes it that much harder for an organization or fan saw to unequivocally stand behind and defend their player.

Ja seems to have all the support in the world, a great family, is charismatic, etc., not to mention electrifying on the court. It’s sad, man. Obviously waiting for more information to come out but how can he turn this narrative around?
