Much agreed, what people don't seem to grasp is that terrible things do happen and when someone makes that a vital plot point for a series or anything else for that mattered that it shouldn't be "censored" or called sexist, racist, or whatever else they want to coin the subject as. It's telling the harsh reality of the situations and that they're horrific events that do and can happen. What people seem to often overlook is life isn't just some lala land where everyone plays by the rules and respects each other. Shit, I wasn't emotionally scarred by the rape scenes that occur all throughout the manga and anime because I realized that it's an important point to show just how brutal and sadistic the enemy within the series is and shows why the Goblin Slayer is just as if not even more brutal towards the goblins. The series DOES NOT in any way shape or form promote that one should go out and commit the horrific acts that the goblins commit, that is something people fail to see. Something I also see quite often is that they shouldn't make series that include these themes, here's the thing, if the series is promoting and encouraging you to go out and commit such acts and paints them in a pretty light, then yes there is some truth to that argument. However, in the cases of Goblin Slayer and Rising of The Shield Hero that isn't the case at all, it shows the brutal and true nature of those acts, and shows the respective consequences that happen to those that commit them. I can also see why some individuals are bothered by those actions and respect their choice of choosing to skip the scenes or just not reading/ watching the series. But all in all, just because a scene portrays violent and "different" themes doesn't mean that people should instantly try and shut it down for "hurting their feelings".
