I believe the underlying principal that they are missing is that hey do not believe that we all have an inclination to do evil within us.

They grow up in an environment that tells them all really should be Perfect and good. Thus when confronted by any adversity and struggle or even a bit of toxic behavior they automatically want to uproot it fully and give it no benefit of the doubt ; not even a hairs breath of such. all the while not realizing that within their own very self lies inclinations towards evil just like every body else and they are not special in any way in being super pure from evil. But unlike every body else who works on their inner inclinations towards evil and try to conquer their inclinations and control them they are busy virtue signaling, not by doing good deeds but rather by pointing out all the evil right wingers and alt rightists and racist a nd white supremacist's that they see with their very eyes all over the place in every nook and every cranny.
