What are the problems, Exactly?

what is it that makes most people on this sub hate the show?

For me it's the huge number of additions to the story. I think everyone accepts things need to be cut. But they have changed some crucial lore like >! The dragon being reborn as male or female, in the books a soul is reborn as same gender, this is very significant as people are extremely afraid of the dragon since he will be a male channeler who will go mad. He will be necessary to defeat the dark one but is also prophecised to break the world again!< also so many filler additions like all the warder scenes from the last episode. They say they don't have time for some great/important scenes from the books but then they add filler of their own.

Is it that you guys want a 1v1 adaptation?

Obviously that's impossible due to time constraints. But we want it faithful to the books. It's supposed to be an adaptation not a fanfic. If cuts have to be made then additions need to be really justified. And there shouldn't be changes to the basic lore, story and characters from the books to suit various agenda.
