CU Police currently use a thin blue line flag as their social media masthead

There's an officer my girlfriend and I had had a run in with. We were by the creek on the bike path side next to those brick apartments a little ways down the bike path. It was late, and apparently someone triggered a motion sensor at a cu construction site. He came up to us, let us know why he was there. He would not stop shining the light in our eyes. Ge asked for our names and what state our id was out of. We have never had id's (I know its strange) He started legitimately yelling about how people lie to him. He then stopped the yelling and asked for our names 3 more times. He was asking to look through our phones and look through our social media. I declined having any such profile. He started to get really agressive and kept blinding us with his light, I misspelled my name on accident because of all of this and he lost it. Started accusing me of lying, flipping shit really. Then he radioed our names in and I could hear the person on the other side saying nothing came back for our names. The radio was clear and I heard everything said. He then proceeded to lie and say that he had to take pictures of us, or get taken into custody to get fingerprints done. We declined. He started yelling again about how his Sergeant demanded it be done (another lie) and if we didnt comply we would be forcibly taken in for prints and arrested for non-compliance. I think his name was officer stevens of the cu police night patrol. We finally caved and let him take his pictures. He wrote us tickets for trespassing. He only had one ticket so he had to call in his partner. His partner was cool, nice guy. You could tell he felt bad we had to deal with this guy. I'm not sure what his problem was but he needs to calm down. Someone with agression issues like that who is basically a glorified babysitter for drunk rowdy college kids doesn't need to have the stepping stone of this job to get on an actual police force. He would be a dangerous dude to navigate. All in all, horrible experience left a bad taste in my mouth about the dynamics of operating within the cu boulder police.
