How does anyone afford to buy a house here?

Most home buyers here are coming from larger job markets where there has been more opportunities in the past. Denver/Boulder is getting there but still is nothing compared to like a DFW, Houston, LA, or Atlanta. Lots of people from California in the area I live in. I am very lucky that my parents moved here a couple months ago. I can save up some money for a house while I live and pay some rent to them. They just bought a 3 mil house with a 1.5 mil down payment from the Texas house they sold. My dad is a business executive for a mid sized company. I’m definitely aware I’m in a lucky situation currently just wanted give this perspective.
