Somewhere along the line, homelessness has become an acceptable status. Depending on where a person comes from or how they grew up would dictate whether or not they could put up with the degradation of living on the streets. Other than mental health issues, I would think any normal person would want to get away from that type of life in a hurry. And even though I risk getting yelled out, look at all the literal crap that collected in downtown Denver when the homeless were given free reign. They had meals and medical care provided but all that did was bring more to the area and crime increased. And this was not due to Covid unemployment. It's the old "not in my backyard" thing where everybody screams for providing essentials but they don't want it where they can see it. And then there's that old saying....give a hand up and not a hand out.....

whereas most want to get away from that situation.
