I'm glad I've found this post, I loved his channel in my teens and early 20s. I'm so sorry to the people he abused, and I hope Dave Brown faces consequences for what he's done. I recognize I'm nowhere near as affected by this as people who had contact with him, but it still hurts to hear. When I found boyinaband I was a mentally ill, LGBT+, long haired weird teen who loved music, and I saw Dave as a good role model who overcame mental illness to be better and support other people going through similar struggles. I hope the people in his life and the ones he's cut out who he's hurt can heal, and he faces personal and legal consequences for what he's done.
