Thoughts on producer, show runner, writer, director Steven DeKnight saying that Jenna Ortega “shit on the showrunners/writers publicly”?

I think a lot of this is also just Jenna being pretty young and having a really self-deprecating kind of humor. When I heard her talk about this in the podcast, it almost felt like she was being hyperbolic, considering before she always talked about how protective she was about Wednesday, but not really in a mean way. I don't think she's reacting to the show going viral very well...

If you watch interviews that came out near/after the first season, you can tell her and Tim Burton, especially, had a really collaborative work relationship. They seemed really open to new ideas; she was allowed to do her own choreography during the iconic dance sequence, some lines were changed or she fought the love triangle (which was, quite frankly, the worst part of the show), that whole thing she does where she never blinks.

It's a collaborative media, and if what she did made the show better and they made her an executive producer season 2 means that they're okay with that.
