Kal-EL outlives his Mother Martha, his Wife Lois, his best friend Bruce and the majority of his friends in the league sending him spiraling into a deep depression realising he will outlive all his friends and everyone he cares about. Kal in the midst of his depression draws the conclusion that entropy is the natural progression of a free universe and that only through Darkseid and the Anti-Life equation can order be imposed on the chaotic universe.

Kal-El swears fealty to Darkseid and the invasion of Earth begins. Kal maintains his hero persona while placing millions of Boom Tube Mother Boxes throughout strategic positions of Earth. Before the Justice Leauge can react, millions upon millions of Parademons have poured over Earth like biblical locus, Steppenwolf strides into battle over the ashes of The White House as hero after hero falls before him.

Diana and Jonn are overwhelmed by the uncountable demons of Apokolips as their once steadfast friend Clarke Kent watches stone-faced as the flames engulf the world he once protected.
