Death on the Nile

given the circumstances

I've only read two of her novels thus far, but a common theme in her books seems to be the misperception of time.

(SPOILER)

It was obvious, to me, that the wounded person actually had some time alone. A timeframe of 5-10 minutes. He WAS, clearly, all alone while everyone tried to console the hysterical shooter. It all happened fast, it was risky, but it made perfect sense. The sole reason I doubted it, was because I was in disbelief of the whole ordeal being an act, that went on for months upon months upon months. That frightened me to my core. Also, the lack of the wounded person's blood stains on the carpets was also an enigma. But I put the pieces together by the end.

...I think I'm starting to like the book more than initially.
