Debunking the myth spread by the media about disabled people in the DPRK

Thanks for this comrade. I was shocked when I saw this because I didn't realize that there was a myth (frankly the propaganda in the link is appalling), though I was aware that the DPRK was attentive to their disabled people.

I found this on the KCNA:

Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- The disabled persons in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea expressed their deep thanks to the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the government for having taken warm care of them. Such expressions were made at a meeting held here on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3). Ryang Chol Su, a writer of the Central Committee of the Writers Union of Korea (WUK), who has authored more than 80 literary works for 30-odd years, told KCNA: Being a disabled man, I graduated from Kim Il Sung University and now work at the WUK Central Committee. The government granted me a nice flat on the bank of the River Pothong, and has shown special care for my life, providing regular health checkup. My children have become officials of different organs under the loving care of the WPK. My mind is filled with an idea that such benefits should be repaid with loyalty through generations. Ri Chol Song, who came third in the men's table-tennis singles of the 3rd Asian Youth Para Games, said: I became disabled by accident at the age of 12. Since then I began to play table-tennis, cultivating my skills with help of professionals, fans and many other people. My results in the games are thanks to the socialist country that has turned into a big harmonious family. Sue Kinsler, co-president of the Korean Cooperation Office for the Disabled and Orphans, said: I was moved to see the officials of the C.C., Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled devotedly working for disabled persons. It is very admirable that the work with the disabled has made a progress even under the international sanctions and that compatriots overseas and in the homeland are pooling their efforts in the work. I am happy to witness the great event for the disabled as well as the homeland growing richer and stronger with each passing day. I will work harder for the disabled in the homeland.

Emphasis added. Fucking imperialists.
