Deciding on PA or MD route in the era of COVID.

Have you considered nursing? With PAs, I don’t believe there’s any more growth afterwards. My mom is an RN and she’s tried super hard to get me to do nursing. You can become a nurse and go on to become a nurse practitioner. My mom works part-time as a nurse and still makes a nice six figures. She has time for her family and switched from surgical nurse to maternity when I was born years ago so she had more time to take care of me and to be less stressed.

I know personally I want to be a physician assistant because I don’t want to do extra schooling to first become an RN, then an NP later. However, I am also in the same route as you when considering other options! I’ve heard physician assistants have more time to themselves compared to MDs.
