did Peace Corps lead to a future career path for you?

I hear that; I try to use my Peace Corps experience in a manner where I can talk about problem solving, soft-skills, developing patience, grit, and determination, and cross-cultural communication and developing people skills as the beckon. People are interested, but you rarely find anyone who you can give more than the boilerplate 2 minute schpeel. They think it's cool, then totally forget about it. That said, it makes for great conversational pieces when you show off some of the stuff you picked up.

My Army experience (which has generally more helpful, since there's more familiarity with it and a lot more people served in the military or know someone who did rather than Peace Corps) is more helpful in selling certain skills, and in part helped with handling Peace Corps itself. But PC has definitely helped me with the DIY mindset and aspect of problem solving I face at my current position.
