[Discussion] The Goal and the Road

Ooh, I was thinking of starting a thread just like this too. Glad some one had the same idea too!

  1. I have normal skin but get stress-related acne that's stubborn in that it always leaves PIH no matter. Also ccs, but it's less of an issue.

  2. Aside from PIH and some active acne, my skin looks pretty nice and balanced. Neither my acne or PIH last as long anymore. I think I'm roughly 75% of the way there.

  3. Snail, ceramides, glycolic acid, HA all have seem to be really helpful so far. I also started drinking green tea again and I wonder if my skin has benefited as a result.

  4. The products that seem to really stand out to me are:

Pixi Glow Tonic: it fades my PIH, reduces the appearance of my pores, and so on. Certain issues seem to pop up when I stopped using it for a brief certain. I picked it because it's easily accessible and effective for me.

Kikumasumune High Moist Lotion: Really hydrates my skin, to the point where it doesn't really feel like I need an extra moisturizer. It's also a good value, I can use it on my face, hair, and body; plus I think its packaging is cute.

Hydrocolloid bandages: I wasn't too impressed with the Corsx patches. They have the benefit of not being too noticeable but fall off my face fairly easily. Plus, the packaging is really excessive to me and given the price point, it doesn't seem like the patches are a good value to me. In additon to that, I was left with a lot of larger patches that I rarely needed. I picked up some generic hydrocolloid bandages that were on clearance they address the issues previously addressed, albeit they are more noticeable on the face. But I have no shame and I go out with them on my face. Even went clubbing with some on my face once.
