don't get me started on heightism (and all the other bullshit "-isms"/discrimination based on vain appearance). The advice those irritating Dating "Coaches" seem to give around here ('your life revolves around lifting weights'... 'wear bling', learn bullshit parlor tricks etc)... that nonsense doesn't do shit to attract women worth dating.

But the saddest thing is following that kind of advice *did* lead to be getting promoted (without change in workload or responsibility) because all of a sudden I had a "mature" haircut and beard trim, tailored clothing, and other superficial bullshit that made me "worth" bit of extra money in my paycheck for nothing.
