There simply are different stages to depression, it's a long goddamn fall to the bottom, that happily enough a lot of depressed people never touch.

That "until u've been there" might've sounded a bit rough, but NSA_Chatbot comment seemed like he has no problem going until the old age. That's not the serious kind of depression, so I can absolutely understand why the answer to that started with "until you've been there", when the other side seems to be in a way more desperate situation.
