Pro tip for those using the DT as therapy: Never explicitly say what you’re doing. Instead, couch it in national issues.

Here’s some examples:

  1. My friends are richer than me -> Wealth inequality is a serious problem
  2. My friends keep canceling other people over stupid shit and talking behind people’s backs -> We need to stop cancel culture
  3. I (don’t have any friends/I haven’t seen my friends in forever) and feel lonely -> The social atomization of America is a serious problem
  4. My job sucks -> We need to improve the labor market and take power away from corporations
  5. I borrowed $300,000 for ten years of school and now I’m broke -> We need to cancel student debt

Doing all of these things will make you feel better, and make you seem like an insightful commentator on society. Also, tons of what this will say is actually true, so you could accidentally end up profound.

Do this enough and you may very well end up able to get the most prestigious job ever, OnlyFans for losers Substack journalist!
