As a prior/current DoorDash customer, 8/10 deliveries would be accompanied by a doorbell ring. My dog goes nuts. My 9-5 is working from home. It’s annoying if she goes bonkers while I’m on the phone and I’m ordering lunch. I started to put “please don’t ring doorbell;” so then they started to knock instead. I then tried “please don’t ring or knock.” No difference. I ended up putting a similar stupid humor note on my deliveries and it has since reduced to about 3/10 deliveries have a knock or doorbell ring. I even added that I have security cameras, so not to worry; I would know they arrived. Still ring or knock sometimes.

That is why there are notes like that. A simple note wasn’t getting it done. We get desperate for results sometimes.
