Donald Trump Says He Will Not Attend the White House Correspondents' Dinner

I'll say this about Trump:

Calling out F-35 program for bloated, corrupt boondoggle that it is is good. Justin Trudeau actually had the rejection Canadian purchase of F-35s in favor more F/A-18 Super Hornets, and rightfully so. The F-35 is Exhibit A of everything that is wrong with our military procurement process. And our war fighting capacity is already diminished as a result.

I also think the IP protection provisions in TPP for pharmaceuticals would people kill people in the developing world because it would restrict access to generic drugs just so that pharmaceutical companies can be even more profitable than they already are (pharma has one of the highest profit margins of any industry). Glad to see that off the table for now.

I also think that Russia has been unfairly demonized by conservative and liberal hawks and moderates. The U.S. did in fact break a lot of explicit and implicit commitments, especially with NATO encroachment on Russia's near frontier, predating Putin's reign. Even Gorbachev feels like the U.S. gave him the shaft on this. And as with Iraq, sanctions on Russia are disproportionately hurting the average Russian's livelihood and quality of life while bolstering Putin's image of a champion of the people in the fight against the West.

That said, Trump is a terrible human being and poses an unprecedented risk to all of us.
