My parents did that. The mildest punishment was 20 spanks with a belt (always bare ass of course). If i repeated the same minor infraction the number was doubled. Again this was for things like not keeping my homework neat.

For things like lying or misbehaving at school, it was the same thing but with a wooden plank or a switch (bendy young tree branch whip for those lucky enough to not know).

For the worst things, like smoking or shoplifting, my dad tied me to the pillar in our basement, looped up an extension cord and whipped my ass until it bled. I never repeated those things thank fuck.

Other than those two incidents, did the spankings work? No the fuck they didn't, or I wouldn't have been getting my ass whipped every other week.
