Dr. Freeman's Hivemind Elixir (SPOILERS) (WEAPONS GRADE)

Before we enter Walters's office, I would like to share a few words:

Longtime lurker. Reddiquette newbie. I mostly wander r/civ, but I sipped a few cask strength drinks while visiting r/TrueDetective once upon a time. Shame on HBO's set designers for echoing artwork between the mental ward and Marty's home. If you're gonna do that, then you gotta go full Lovecraft in episodes seven and eight, rather than subsuming your show into a Law & Order mirror universe, just so you can spin off a more traditional second season.

(Anyways.)

All of these thoughts are mostly my own. I have chosen to minimize my research and discussion of this show with family and outsiders. Perhaps a handful of text messages here and some r/westworld headline grazing there. Everything I will share with you was distilled from nothing more than a simple combination of the Westworld television experience and my own memories.

The gods will testify for the truth of this claim. I have no meaningful connection to the Westworld family of storytellers. I have read no scripts or production notes nor wish to do so. I want to solve this problem from one direction. They say two men simultaneously discovered differential calculus. Perhaps this happens more often than you realize. Maybe that call really is coming from inside your home. Why haven't you answered yet?

I do not wish to spoil the future of Westworld for others. I thought about swallowing my voice and continuing to live my life as quietly as before, but the luminous joy I found by watching this television show again and again has proven too wonderful to ignore. I want to guide others through the process of mentally dissecting the Westworld narrative through indirect examples and carefully shaded ideas. Wish me luck.

Tweets will be steady but occasional. Replies will be exceptional. Omissions and misdirections will be both willful and accidental. I offer no apologies and desire no forgiveness.

Beware! I will not be leaving Dr. Freeman's office anytime soon, and when you do, then you must heed the sign on the back his door: "Ask one of my nurses for two aspirin. She will give you a pair of sunglasses. Wear indoors for six weeks."

Godspeed, fellow travelers.

*raises his glass*
