Westworld creators have 'one more story to tell' before the series ends

Ehhh... I'm of the opinion that they really didn't have much of a story to tell after season 2. Let's just look at Maeve's story in seasons 3-4. All of season 2 she's set up as this foil you Delores only to get killed over and over, having no real impact on the story. Season 4 she's built up to be a "weapon" who just ends up having a bit of a cat fight with Hale before getting headshot by the MIB bot.

Delores (Christina's) story in season 4 was like... Dumb. So she was just in the program the entire time and was just using her imagination to talk to her friends? This whole time she was single handedly writing the narrative for I assume the entire world and she had no idea? Now she's trending Westworld? Why? Who cares about the story in whatever simulation she's running? Everyone is dead and it's just a bunch of "sentient" AI playing cowboys again? It just seemed to me that they wanted the actress in season 4 and realized they couldn't tell a meaningful Delores story.

I also think Bernard's arc in season 4 was bad. He's run every simulation possible and the best case scenario he came up with was like... To have the Christina bot remake Westworld in the sublime while the entirety of humanity dies? They made it seem like he had a grand plan but the best he could do was that? Getting into that tower seemed easy as fuck, strap a bomb on Maeve and have her blow it up. Humanity saved.

Whatever, I just have a bad taste in my mouth after that finale. I enjoyed everything except for the last 2 episodes when the grand reveals didn't stick the landing.
