Dragon Knight: Healer?

DK is currently the best healer in the game. With Breath of Life nerfed; it doesn't hit as hard as it use to and the new animations of templars all feel extremely sluggish and unresponsive, DKs are now pretty much kings of healing. Why? One single buff that DKs and only DKs have, Major Mending (30% increased healing) on Ingenuous Shield.

Between Healing Springs, Mutagen (better than rapid now) and Ingenuous shield the overall healing strength of DKs is way higher than Templars. With the new champion system sustaining this is extremely easy and every heal a DK can throw hits like a truck.

A basic bar would look something like: Inner Light, Sea of Oblivion, Healing Springs, Ingenuous Shield, Mutagen with Shooting Star/Warhorn/Barrier for ultimates and a secondary bar with Destro Crushing Shock (over Crushing pulse for the interrupt), Inhale and Ingenuous Shield. Or a secondary bar of all buffs /Debuffs. Either or.

Use ing shield like a templar would use BoL, as an Emergency 'heal' then pop off a springs and Muta if its not active. Reapply shield quickly if they're really low health or if theyre in the danger zone pop off Mutagen (they should never get that low).

The only difference between a DK healer and Templar healer is, your group has to be close at all times with a DK healer. No BoL means you need to be much more coordinated and less "I'll do what I want" style of play. Only a handful of bosses make stacking like this difficult (but not impossible, and quite easy with the right group) so its not really a downside.

Both the Mara set and Seducer are pretty much required (even with 100~ CP). I recommend seducer over Mara simply because in some situations (vdsa/big boss burns) you'll be spamming Ing Shield over Healing Springs much more often and the cost difference is VERY noticeable. Combine that with 4pc Healer and 2pc Bogdan (or 5pc Healer, and a random piece if you dont have it) and you have a very potent setup.

Have fun, and welcome to the Master Class.
