Why the duration of songs these days are short?

hmm thats an interesting take. although i kinda agree with it, i think it doesn't really affect songs that much (compared to watching videos or doing things that you actually need to pay attention to). but yeah this definitely needs to be brought up.

also, this is why internationally we don't see a lot of "album eras" these days (an event where an artist releases multiple singles that spans for months and months and then releasing an album) and surprise releases or short promotion periods are becoming more and more relevant. people just cant keep their attention to something that isnt really worth investing their time on (unless it is really good).
