Also maybe he should watch Three Lions. A film that is explicitly about Pakistani Muslim terroists being bad guys. However it doesn't just show them as cartoon villains so I'm guessing he would just say it is another part of the liberal agenda or some such nonsense.
I knew what gunfire was. I was able to think through it. I was also able to remember practical lessons of my life because I had to be in fights as a kid. My mom didn’t go sue anyone. I didn’t have playdates. I had some practical upbringing growing up in the desert where you got to get yourself out of your problems.
That still happens for most kids. Here in England anyway. People get in fights, play in the woods, break bones, etc. It's part of growing up and has nothing to do with whether people "dare" to facedown armed terroists.
I watched about seven people die. A couple of them were three feet from the barrier. They could have fallen backwards and been alive but they were too scared to even turn around. I remember a woman just standing with her hands up in a surrender pose. The terrorist finally saw her and all she did was go, “No no no.” She surrendered to death in front of my very eyes. I was yelling at her, “HEY!” and I don’t think she could hear me. She was so terrified, I think she’d already given up.
This is a psychological response. He is right it was stupid one but it is nothing to do with the liberal agenda. It's existed in humans for as long as we know and exists in most mammals.

I know it's horrible but a small part of me hopes this guy ends up in a position where is so terrified he "surrenders to death" as he puts it. I wonder if his last thought will be "this is my fault".

Also I can guarentee that the majority of Americans who have not seen combat, only shot at the firing range, will also shit their pants and freeze up when caught unarmed. I will lay the blame right in its lap. When you tell people they can’t help themselves and that they’re children, you weaken them to a point where three feet away is life and they can’t see it because they’re too scared.
A lot of people who support this 'liberal' view about terroism are also socialists and anarchists who go out and use violence far more than any other non-fascist political group I'm aware of. You can argue they aren't right but they certainly aren't scared to fight.
