Am I the only one thinking that reversing executive orders with executive orders is a missed chance to get Congress to do its job?

There are compromises to be made

What would you suggest? I mean, name a compromise position that matches one of these EO's, describe a bill that implements it, and then name 10 republicans who would vote for cloture on it.

What you describe simply never happens. It's not like people haven't tried. We were in exactly the same situation in the Obama administration, with the same minority leader, and literally nothing moved. Passing the ACA (which, remember, was a compromise bill patterned off of the Romney health care bill in MA) required 60 all-democratic votes to block a filibuster.

It's a great idea. But it's a fiction. Bipartisan compromise simply will not happen in the modern senate. Republicans don't allow it.
