Endo belly & relationships.

Yeah, that's definitely a good sign!! When I bloat up really bad, I show it off to my husband because it's weird and impressive (and also shitty and painful). We laugh about it, and he commiserates with me. He's super supportive, the kindest person I've ever known. Having a true partner in life is really great. As the years go on, the trust builds and builds. You grow together and become closer as you deal with the challenges life throws at you. I feel very lucky. People are complicated and difficult, and I've been in plenty of shitty relationships. I'm also a child of divorce and thank God my parents split up because they were awful together. So I'm amazed to find myself with such a loving partner. 11 years and going strong. And I'm only 34. I don't quite know how it happened. Especially since we met in our early 20s, when I was dating the worst guys. The worst. But something clicked I guess and I somehow fell into an easy going relationship with a kind and silly dude. We were in the same friend circle but not close. I lent him my Mr Show DVDs and he lent me his Young Ones DVDs, then he stopped by to return them on a rainy day and we drank Lapsang Souchong and listened to Neil Young records. It was nice and we became friends. A few months later he was couch surfing and needed a place to stay over spring break. So he stayed on my couch for a week and then we fell in love. To this day we still drink Lapsang Souchong when it's rainy out. We came close to splitting up one time when life was stressful. We had graduated right at the start of the 2008 recession, so it was the classic millennial problem: massive student loan debt and no decent jobs to be had. Stress stress stress. But we stuck through it together and I'm so glad. He's my very best friend and he's so handsome and he's a sweet weirdo man. Love him so much.
