Episdoe 62 - Interview with CoffeeZilla

Regarding the Lex segment, I think they missed (or at least breezed past it) the glaring hypocrisy of it all.

I think the both the book list and resulting criticism are cringy. I don’t really care about any of that.

To me, the issue is that Lex felt the need to publicly address how hurt he felt based of the (very mild) criticism, but then routinely talks about his friendship with people like Elon Musk and Joe Rogan.

Politics aside, both of these people routinely attack others. Just looking at well known examples, Musk publicly accused diver of being a pedophile because he called Musk’s Thai rescue plan dumb, he recently called for Faucci to be prosecuted (didn’t say what for), a ex-Twitter executive had the flee his fucking house in part because of Musk’s tweets, and he re-tweeted a baseless conspiracy theory about Paul Pelosi and an alleged gay love as the man was literally undergoing surgery on a skull.

If Lex is hurt by people making fun of his book list, imagine what it has to be like to flee your home or wake up from surgery after being violently attacked just to find out you’re being accused of having a secret, homosexual affair.

And Rogan recently had to take down a portion of his podcast because he (once again) fell for a fake internet story about a re doctor who then faced real harassment, in part because of his segment.

Lex is friends with bullies that will destroy lives for to get a quick laugh on Twitter and then is “sad” and “hurt” when he receives a tiny bit of what they dish out on a weekly basis.
