Equality ?

The constitution says that every individual has the right to practice and profess their religion. Secular is a word added to the preamble but never was the detailed description added to the original text of the constitution. Secular definitions that we follow are westernised where it was felt that Christians should let other people some place to breathe. For a complex society in India you travel 10 kms and the majority population will belong to a different religious background. Secularism as western idea can never prosper in India.

Also religion and education are 2 completely unrelated topics. It’s really shameful that these people have brought religion to schools now. Also schools have proper autonomy to decide their uniforms. You know why? Because article 14 that comes way before article 25. Everyone deserves equality. Only after being equal can you have certain other right. Uniforms make sure that this equality is uphold. People can belong to all cultures but one thing that is common in schools is the uniform code, rich, poor, Dalit, unreserved,Hindu,Muslim,Sikh,Jain,Buddhist, every single one of them will be dressed the same to eradicate discrimination and make a better future generations that knows it’s values that it’s family teaches it but also knows that there is a world outside that it needs to respect and treat equally.
