If you loved it on PC, really love, you will loved it too on Nintendo 3DS. Yes, this version is not better than the PC version but I think it's the best after that and it's the best on building, yes, it is!
I just bought it and already have 6 hours of game play. I've played this game before on PC and I loved it (I remember that I was looking at different pages for a comparation between Minecraft and Terraria, then the most voted for Minecraft, but someday I bought it for PC, too cheap, and I could not belive it, it was really fantastic! A thousand times better than Minecraft).
Well, I think the controls are really good, I think they would be 10 times better than in the PS4 (how can you play it without the touch panel of the Nintendo 3DS, that must have been awful), and the controls will continue being improved over time, because they can be. This game deserves that price and more, I feel that I'm paying for this version and giving back money for the PC version too.
N3DS version wins vs. PC version in the building, believe me, you will love it, you will want to build even more than in PC version (in the PC version I don't build anything, just the houses, I didn't decorate them or anything, just put things that I got radomly).
(I don't know if you know but...) There are two different types of worlds, Normal and Extended, so, Extended = Small on PC, and it's only available for the "New" Nintendo 3DS.
There is only local muliplayer, and I have not one to try it. But, I don't care too much. Although if you have a friend to play it on multiplayer, I imagine it would be so fucking amazing!
