Police services proved to mishandle a false report where they took two black students out of their room and held them for at least three hours without water or bathrooms, conducted unlawful interviews, and contacted the students’ guardians illegally, without a Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) release or student consent for a false report from a student who previously targeted one of those black students by putting up posters trying to get them fired, this student was put in protected housing and was hardly given a slap on the wrist. Police and staff have ostracized two disabled, gay, and black student's voices, and has been in the process of disciplining them for their use of free speech all year. The conduct code was recently updated to combat student's voices in light of recent protests, the conduct code is so vague that any student can be punished for misconduct for attending a protest, meanwhile violations such as smoking pot on campus have the same repercussions as sexual assault claims. Andrea Seabert has made students feel unsafe and has dismissed stalking, harassment, and rape cases in favor of low-crime reports for the college and administration constantly fails to communicate issues that affect the student body because they don't want issues to escalate. Police and administration have constantly protected stalkers and rapists, as well as faculty and students who have targeted marginalized communities and individuals. Students who are paid to represent us have been active in anti-black sentiment and behavior and it has gone unaddressed. George Bridges stepped down before for racist emails and advertises Evergreen as a sanctuary school however has admitted there's nothing he can do to stop ICE from identifying undocumented students without losing funding. Faculty that have been reported for discrimination are still teaching. There is a large neo-nazi presence in Olympia and on campus. First year students are forced to pay for at least 125 meals at the "Greenery" to eat food provided by Aramark™ a corporation that supplies food to prisons, thus supporting a company that profits off industrialized racism. Police Officer Odell yesterday morning tried to evoke black students into violence by charging at students and pushing white students out of their way, those white student activists had been instructed to be a barrier for those black and brown and disabled folks as they were all trying to protest racist actions and emails by faculty. Most people who have put in the time to educate ourselves about the situation are tired of trying to prove the actions of this place.
