I don't see how your response applies to my original note, the text above "edit:". I first only called out the buying a bred cat of all things in a world filled with strays.

PS Im a geneticist and there's nothing more special about your savannah cat than there is any other cat. The more "wild" crosses die in utero or never form; what's left over is pretty much a house cat with a few somewhat interesting SNPs. The most interesting of all are not even well-understood, and come from the domestic parent: the combo for tameness.

Also so you all know, savannah cat breeding leads to a lot of pointless pain and suffering for the breeder cats. You think the miscarried hybrids have no effect on the mother? They often die from associated complications.

So when you buy a bred animal like this, especially a davannah cat, rather than rescuing, the badness of your act is compounded. It's one more dead shelter cat, and added support to an industry that has no purpose but feeding the vanity of people like OP.
