Family Wants to Move to Colombia

A lot of people have covered other issues, but I would say this, especially since you have young kids.

In the United States, even people who aren't rich can have a house with a big yard and green grass and trees. You can live next to ample parks and green space.

In Colombia, that sort of "suburban" lifestyle doesn't exist. Yes, you can buy a finca, but that's not usually close to the convenience of urban living. If you live in an urban area, you're going to be in a concrete jungle, even if you're super-rich.

The Norman Rockwell suburbs with kids going over to friends' houses and playing in the yards doesn't really exist in Colombia..And that's one reason that many Colombians who emigrate to the United States and Canada decide to stay there, even if there are other things they miss about Colombia.
