I'm a former Muslim. I gave up on all religions at least a decade ago, if not longer.

These people are coming from a 3rd world country. Their entire culture and the laws and belief system of their former country have been established around an old ass book that they've taken into literal meaning.

Just think of them as modern Christians. The difference has been that Christianity had several hundreds of years worth of a head start.

Imagine Christianity being followed to the T by third worlders. Do you not think they'd do the same as these Muslims are in modern times?

I give them a pass for their backwards belief system because they don't know any better. I was born and raised in the USA. I had the opportunity to experience other cultures.

These refugees (and many immigrants who've already been living in 1st world countries but haven't assimilated) only hang out with, spend time with, interact with the same mentality they've grown up to know.

If I were only surrounded by Muslims growing up, maybe I, too, would've stayed as one and believed the Qu'ran's every words.

It's too late in the night/early in the morning, so I don't know if I'm making too much sense. What I am trying to get to is:

These people don't know anything beyond what they've been taught their entire lives. All this fear many people have of "Sharia Law is coming to get us!" is completely unfounded, baseless and retarded.

The difference between Islam and Christianity is that one was founded in countries that were already established as 1st world countries, even 2000 years ago (compared to other countries around them), and thus refocused their laws and beliefs to not follow an old ass book word-for-word; the other was created and mostly followed in 3rd world countries, where many people don't even have the opportunity to receive any sort of education, and therefore are just sheep going where wolves lead them.

TL;DR: All religions are dumb.
