I feel like the lack of chat makes things harder on newer players.

Yeah - it's an issue, albeit a tough one to solve; there are a lot of a-holes out there like you suggest, but there are also a lot of people whom would enjoy this type of discussion during / after a match. I think new players (like myself) could learn a lot from this. Even if the 'learning' process is to avoid chat from certain people. lol

I've sent friend requests after matches because I wanted to talk about certain interactions, etc. I've never had one accepted. I assume because they think I want to talk trash (I don't!). I've also received friend requests that I did not want to accept b/c I've seen too many posting players raging after a request is accepted.

I try to use my best judgement and consider what happened during the match; excessive BMing, excessive emoting, etc.

Anyways, I've seen several versions of this mentioned here before, but I personally would really like to see some sort of in-game option that signals (one time) that your opponent wants to open a chat session, and you'd either accept it or not.

It could even be an emote that you could use one time during each match to suggest a chat. In your best Warrior voice, say, "Hmm, let's talk about this!" You either accept it, or ignore it, and that emote cannot be done again by your opponent. And just like a friend request, it stays active during the entire game, until you cancel it.

So you, on the other side, either accept it or you ignore it. And if you accepted it, you could 'squelch' this chat session at anytime, just like you currently squelch your opponents emotes...

BTW, this is the first time I've played ladder in the early season, and holy crap - I'm running into troll legendary decks, full-on Murloc decks, and multi-legendary decks even in the sub-20 ranks. Dang dude, like - I don't even have cards in my collection to deal with these decks... Fun times! ;) lol
