feeling down

I'm a black male and I know what this was like. I got rejected from all of my REUs last year and the year before. I thought I had no chance at all for grad school after my rejections but right now, I'm at an ivy league university for my grad school.

Keep your chin up because REUs usually have a sub 5% acceptance rate anyways and there are always other opportunities other than REUs that can provide a great research experience. Also, think of it as that you got a free round of practice on grad school apps, because having thought of it this way, it helped me with my grad school apps. There are a lot of us who were rejected and never got into an REU and we got your back.
