Yeah the indigenous part is what’s hard to grasp in a German context. It’s pretty clearly referring to indigenous Americans (north and south) and Australians, amounts countless other groups. But many Germans are “indigenous” to Germany but that gets into weird aryan race shit. So it obviously doesn’t refer to them. But then it seems to imply only black or indigenous, who are also people of color, but I think that isn’t what’s mean either? Because there are “white” indigenous people who face discrimination, eg Sámi people. I find it an odd term to use in Germany, so it’s a good question. I think it’s a term that encompasses East Asian people though.
