First gaming PC flexible budget AU$600-800

so, you see two builds here. Essentially there is a slight difference how the budget is balanced.

Essentially Option 1 puts more emphasis on the Graphics card and less so on the CPU. This will provide the best performance in gaming, as most games are more GPU intensive rather than CPU intensive. Essentially the i3-6100 only has two physical cores, but with hyperthreading, this brings it up to 4 logical cores (which will from here on be called "threads") and therefore enough for gaming. Furthermore, many games are unable to utilize 4 threads, with the notable exceptions being cities:skyline, GTA V, The Witcher 3. Note that because of the i3-6100's higher base clock, for games running up to only 2 threads, the i3 would in fact give better performance in these scenarios. Furthermore the savings from the CPU is then used to improve the graphics card. While the R9 380X is 1 generation behind the RX 460, it is also 2 tiers higher and therefore overall the performance is about 70% better than the RX 460. Overall this system should give a solid 1080p, 60fps gaming experience on high for modern titles like battlefield 1. In all this is the better gaming system of the two.
