She snap her finger in front of him.

"Not every tantei can tolerate it, Kudo Shinichi," she said, as she spoke in a cold tone. "There is always constant rejection where no one ever listens to their concerns, that no one will care of their sufferings of being oppress from looking into the truth further because of damn work politics. No, if anything, it's the constant stigma, prejudice, failure of a justice system, as well as the dumb unrealistic ideals of being a good and a bad tantei engrained in society, that itself will continue to fester more deaths that lay ahead. As long as people like you exist–" she glanced at the little boy through her peripheral vision–"it will continue to breed more evil."

Silence was so deafening."Ranran....I....I d-didnt know...I didnt know you be doing this because of....."

Beneath the family wealth, status, and all of this, there is a lot of hidden scars that needed fixing. All you ever know was that I am a evil cunning girl who enjoys running around the streets playing tantei, as if I got time to mock your tantei dream."

"At least there is one thing you know about me, that when I was pushed by one of your friends during that pakour event last year while you did nothing, it was because I was nothing more than a foreign family member of yours, whom you didnt know was no longer able to use the English as her main language anymore, whom you didnt know had to leave all her friends behind, that everything she once knew, was all taken away from her, just so to adapt into this family....this useless family whom one turn their backs on, even though....they realize their mistakes."

"If it happens again onto my family.....I wouldn't mind going back to the U.K, I really miss there despite the hell I had to go through. After all....I wouldn't need to face someone like you anyone, one who has treated me worst than a vulgar neighbor even though we are related."

Shinichi comes to a stop, the silence is thick between them, and his gaze sticks to the girl's empty blue eye gaze as he connects the pieces of the puzzle to form a greater picture. Now things are adding up. She actually was aware that she may end up burdening him after moving from the U.K, so she actually did all of this wasnt only for his sake, but also for herself. She knew he had no interest in her, so she did him the favor.

Hearing this....why does it sound hurtful to him?

"What," Ranran scoffs. "Nothing else to say for yourself?What happened to the very vocal boy I heard earlier??"

His tongue is glued to the roof of his mouth.

Likes/dislikes, wants/needs: I like this scene, but I ain’t sure if this make readers feel this conflict makes Shinichi feel guilty for what he has said to her (as well as reflect on his actions towards her). I want to see whether this conflict will make readers feel sympathetic over Ranran while think Shinichi gone too far with her (but not to a point he deserve hate). I also need to ask whether this kind of conflict is logical.
