I live by the code of if I don’t like it I won’t read it. I had someone accuse me of being an abuser because I put a trigger warning up for the subject, if I write about it I must be one right? I had this other person absolutely come at me because their was a side pairing between a popular ship, but the fic was about my oc. I got two paragraphs about how I used clickbait to force them to read my work, because they came to read about the side pairing and a wasn’t writing about them enough. Like why are you reading it then? Someone didn’t like my overall plot and had to tell me that I serve an award for writing the dumbest fic they’ve ever read. I’d like my award please haha. Even people demanding I rewrite my work to fit how they want it, like these characters aren’t real, just write your own. If I do it for free so can you.

But the abuse comment really got to me because of unfortunate life experiences. But I have noticed lots of similar comments on other works that involve triggering subjects, like why did you click on it when it’s obviously tagged just to complain.
