Fixed it

I don't know why I'm here because I don't even play video games, but I think it's sorta worthwhile to favor companies that make people feel good. Providing good customer support etc. is a gamble that good user experience will have some kind of payoff for the company. I think the public has an incentive to express loud opinions, to make companies think it will be a good idea to treat them well.

Also, we've learned in the past few years that rich famous people like company CEO's care a lot about their reputations. Every company right now is wasting a shitload of money planting trees and donating to charities under pressure from their low-level employees and customers.
