We're all familiar with the depths of Fates' pandering. Touching, groping, stripping, bathing, panty shots, boob shots, ass shots, dirty talk, incest, and pedophilia. Quite the list!

And because that list is so long, many worry that Nintendo of America will bring down the censorship hammer hard. Some players don't want to see major chunks of content, even if distasteful, removed.

But despite the many problems with Fates' fanservice, it turns out that all of these issues can be corrected without removing major chunks of content. You just need a handful of quick fixes:

1. Face-rubbing removed. Entirely. No trace left.

2. When "stripped down" in the changing room, characters are no longer in underwear. They are now in a t-shirt and shorts.

3. All S-Rank supports with adoptive siblings and underage characters are replaced with A+ supports and rewritten dialogue.

4. Infamous Camilla cutscene is shortened to exclude the tasteless moments.

5. Hoshido captures are no longer persuaded through sex. Replace the sex noises with lightly flirtatious dialogue and clever rhetoric. Contrast the violence of Nohr with the diplomacy of Hoshido.

6. Bath house is removed. If we insist on keeping it, then remove the "free range" camera; do not let the player zoom in on characters' bodies. If the bath houses are really about relaxing with the troops, this change should be utterly uncontroversial.

And that's it! All the major fanservice problems fixed with six easy corrections. The only notable piece of content removed is face-rubbing. This would bump the game down to a T rating, conform better with Western tastes, and largely remove the tonal dissonance between My Castle and the campaign.

These corrections are entirely within NoA's power to implement.
