For my Cherry Blossom Sylvaneth Army---I decided to make a "choose your own adventure" Tree-lord with magnetizing. How'd it come out?

So it took a bit of experimenting to end up with my preferred color of wood for the sylvaneth army I made. It's a pretty easy palette! For the bodies/wood----I used: Army Painter: Leather Brown (You could also use Mournfang Brown from Citadel) Nuln oil wash (to give it those nice dark spots and variants in the wood. Don't let it over pool, but you can be very liberal with the wash!) Vallejo: Orange Brown (For the highlights, turn it into a glaze so it blends better when you apply to all the raised branches, and notches) Also---before you glaze all the best highlights-----dry brush the entire model with the Orange Brown to pick out all those nice details all over the model. For the tips where the Treelord Ancient transitions to pink on the branches----you COULD use white, but honestly, it looks better to use a more bone like color----Citadel Ushabti bone, or Army Painter Skeleton Bone. The pinks used I actually used Vallejo Game Squid Ink. You can get the transition easily with an airbrush, or by wet-blending the pink and bone. The leaves are pretty simple too! Base with squid Ink (Or Emperors Children from Citadel, though Squid Ink is slightly brighter)--wash it with Citadel Carroburg Crimson. Once dried, highlight with your choice of Squid Ink again, making strikes on only one side of the leaves (For the staff, you can see i made 3 highlighting lines, it looked better imo.)---you can also mix it up a bit if you want, and use a bright white on some leaves, and squid ink on others. (I didn't do that on THIS model, but have before, and it comes out quite well) The staff/weapon tips that have blue in them I use Citadel Lothern Blue, then washed with Citadel Druchii Violet. Then you can highlight again with Lothern Blue OR some other very light/almost white blues. And for the runes that glow, I just airbrushed them white....heavy in the middle of the rune, and lighter as it expanded outward. I took some nuln oil and being RIDICULOUSLY careful, used my finest brush to ink the lines of the runes. Mushrooms are just an ushabti bone, washed with Reikland Flesh, and highlighted around the edges again with ushabti bone. The joints, and dangling branch pieces between the joints I used a Vallejo Malefic kit paint called "pale flesh" I can't seem to find the exact color anywhere else yet (As on their site, "Pale Flesh" is literally more of a flesh color, and not so much the same as I used....but you could substitute with Ushabti bone and maybe try to mix in a bit of grey to tone it down a bit----that color has a slight off-grey beige look to it. So here's the list without me rambling! Army Painter: Leather Brown Vallejo: Orange Brown Vallejo Squid Ink (Or Emperors Children) Citadel: Lothern Blue Citadel: Ushabti Bone (Or Army Painter Skeleton Bone) Malefic Fantasy set Pale Flesh Any pure-white /bright white you prefer washes: Druchii Violet Nuln Oil Reikland Flesh

Sorry if it formats as a wall of text >< lol
